ART AND EDUCATION PROJECT COMPETITION RESULTS

Thank you to everyone who submitted interesting and highly professional project applications for ABLV Charitable Foundation’s annual grant competition for contemporary art exhibitions and their accompanying education projects. In 2018, under the auspices of the competition, the Foundation will support five projects, awarding them total co-financing in the amount of EUR 34,750.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CHILDREN AS PART OF THE EXHIBITION

Two excursions took place at the Latvian National Museum of Art, which were organised with the support of the ABLV Charitable Foundation under the auspices of the programme “Educational Projects with Cultural Content”, in which the participants were the winners of the memory notebook competition organised in December: Jelgava Spīdola Gymnasium’s Class 12 and Riga 71st Secondary School’s Class 12. During the excursions, both classes were introduced to the world before the digital age. They also received the main prize in the form of the opportunity to shoot their own film, under the tutelage of professionals, using analogue special effects.

With the conclusion of the Christmas charitable campaign, the ABLV Charitable Foundation has ended the year successfully, having received EUR 4,674,605 in donations thanks to the extremely generous support of donors in 2017.
