Recognition for nurturing understanding of contemporary art and culture in Latvia

At the Spīķeru Concert Hall on 22 March, outstanding and surprising facts from the past year in art were honoured at the 2015 Diena Annual Culture Award ceremony.
Under the auspices of this event, the ABLV Charitable Foundation received recognition from the Republic of Latvia’s Ministry of Culture and "Izdevniecība Dienas Mediji" for its active role in nurturing public awareness and understanding of contemporary art and culture in Latvia, as well as for its wide-ranging contribution to the development of these creative fields. It is worth noting that to date the ABLV Charitable Foundation has co-financed over 80 contemporary art projects, investing a total sum of EUR 629,065, and that the Foundation provides ongoing support for the development of this field in Latvia, as well as its promotion overseas.
