Grant competition for camp organisers has been announced

March 6, 2017

The ABLV Charitable Foundation announces a grant competition for receipt of co-financing for the organisation of camps during school holidays throughout the year under the programme “Let’s Help Them to Grow Up!” from 1 April 2017 to 31 October 2018.

The ABLV Charitable Foundation announces a grant competition, inviting camp organisers to apply to receive co-financing for a two year period of cooperation. The objective of the grant competition is to encourage the development and successful social integration of children with special needs by providing support to children and parents from poor and vulnerable families, children suffering from long-term illnesses, as well as families at social risk throughout Latvia, giving them the chance to attend rehabilitating, developmental and educational day and overnight camps.

We welcome grant applications from any organisation or foundation registered in Latvia, local council or municipal institution, or council-established agency, whose operations do not involve making profits, as well as from any state institution or state agency that operates on a not-for-profit basis.

A total of EUR 183,536 in funding has been allocated for projects in 2017 under the auspices of the grant competition.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 20 March 2017 (until 23.59). Applications should be submitted electronically to the following e-mail address: info@ablv.org. The grant competition’s terms and conditions and application and budget forms are available on the Foundation’s homepage: www.ablv.org in the section “How to receive financing”. These documents are available only in Latvian and need to be submitted also in Latvian.

The ABLV Charitable Foundation was founded by ABLV Bank shareholders Ernests Bernis and Oļegs Fiļs, in order to put their core values into practice in real life and support the responsibility of entrepreneurs towards society and the environment. The Foundation functions as ABLV Bank’s main partner in the realm of charitable activity, supporting creative people and outstanding organisations that invest their efforts and knowledge, in order to achieve universally important goals – to create a united, abundant and safe society. The Foundation has focused its attention on contemporary art, the welfare of children and adolescents, the development of education and civic society, as well as projects resulting in civic improvements in the City of Riga. Over the years, the Foundation has supported 300 projects, allocating financing to them of over EUR 3 million.
